The Great Outdoors is conveniently located in Lakewood Estates, just 1/2 mile North of the stores and restaurants of Hochatown. You will be nestled in the heart of the Kiamichi Mountains and the Ouachita National Forest, only a 5-minute drive from canoeing, trout fishing and hiking in Beavers Bend State Park, or boating and bass fishing in Broken Bow Lake.

This newly constructed, expansive log home exudes rustic luxury at it's finest! Construction was completed in December 2011 on this 4,600 square foot, 5 bedroom - 5 1/2-bath cabin. There are also 3,000 square feet of (mostly covered) deck space for enjoying the sights and sounds of the pine forest surroundings, where you will most likely see some of the many deer who live in this beautiful, quiet area of God's country.

The Great Outdoors features three living areas, saw cut oak floors and granite countertops throughout, fine leather furnishings, luxury bedding and flat screen TV / DVD players in each living area and all bedrooms. The open living - dining - kitchen area is surrounded by pine walls with dark rough cedar trim, cathedral ceilings with cedar beams, and features a two-story stacked rock gas fireplace. A very cool whiskey barrel, rolled ceiling hallway leads to an oversized downstairs game room, with a pool table and foosball table for hours of family bonding time. The game room also offers sleeping space for 6, with a half-bath, a queen sofa bed, and two captain's beds with trundles (4 twins).

There are five bedrooms - three downstairs and two upstairs - each with a private bath and a king bed. The two upstairs bedrooms also offer an extra twin captain's bed with a trundle.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all you will need to prepare meals and serve your group of up to 18 people, and seating for indoor or outdoor dining. The kitchen, and all the bathrooms, are accented with granite, rough sawn cabinets and copper sinks.

Quote from past guests at this cabin...
Our group have been coming to Beavers Bend, twice a year, since 2006, and The Great Outdoors was by far the best cabin we have stayed in! The linens were purely luxury, and the furnishings were so incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was amazing, and the outdoor living was perfect.

Kindest regards,
Craig

A large covered deck across the entire back side of the cabin is a secluded outdoor living space where you can relax on comfortable furnishings, grill your day's catch for dinner, then soak in the bubbly hot tub and enjoy the scenery. The campfire pit with seating will be great for roasting s'mores by the campfire, so brush up on your tall tales of Bigfoot, and your ghost stories. The circle drive will make it easy for those with boat or ATV trailers.

With advanced notice, you can place your order for the kitchen to be stocked with all your favorite grocery items and fresh flowers. Beavers Bend Adventures will also schedule an in-cabin masseuse, if requested.

You will be in awe of your new luxury vacation lake home that really lives up to its name - The Great Outdoors!
